program is a four-semester program that trains students
to care for sick, injured, convalescent, and disabled patients
under the direction of a physician or registered nurse.
Basic
theory is coordinated with clinical practice under the direction

Trainees
will give direct patient care and perform certain tasks, including
assessment, administration of treatments and medications;
assist in preparing a care plan, document care, and monitor
client progress.

Trainees
are expected to develop competencies in providing personal
care and physical, psychosocial and emotional support to clients
