| The
Center for Healthcare Professions (CHP) is happy to entertain
your interest in establishing a CHP Training Center. We would
like to provide you with an overview of CHP's licensing (franchising)
operations. |
| History |
The
Center for Healthcare Professions (CHP) was incorporated in
September 2001 and operated its first branch in San Pedro, Laguna
on January of 2002. Because there was much demand and because
of CHP's inherent medical and paramedical network, the company
wanted to bring its services nationwide. Six months later, another
branch was opened in Lucena City, Quezon and soon after that,
the Batangas City version was established. Two other branches
followed before 2002 ended and as of November 2003, there are
fifteen (15) operating branches of CHP nationwide, located as
far north in Dagupan City, Pangasinan and down south in Butuan
City, Agusan del Norte in Mindanao.
|
| Initial
Course Offerings |
| CHP
started its operations by offering a training course for caregivers
(home health aides). This training program conforms to the standards
set by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority
(TESDA), the Philippines' governing body for technical and vocational
institutions. CHP's caregiver course has been patterned after
caregiver curricula in the United States and Canada. |
| Other
Courses and Programs |
| CHP
has developed other related courses. Similarly, these courses
have been designed to address international healthcare worker
trends and demands, aware that at the very least, certain standards
of quality have to be maintained. These courses include:
1.
Practical Nursing
2. Certified Nursing Aide
3. Geriatric Nursing Assistant
4. Basic Emergency Care
5. Household Management
As
an education and training institution, CHP also offers review
classes for nurses who want to take foreign licensure exams.
The huge demand for nurses abroad has only been felt very
recently and experts predict this opportunity to continue
at least for the next decade.
|
| Investment |
| At
present, a prospective CHP Training Center licensee would need
approximately P 1.5 million. Fifty percent (50%) of this amount
will be spent on licensing fees and site preparation inclusive
of rental deposit, office furniture, classroom fixtures, signages
and leasehold improvements. Thirty percent (30%) will be spent
on laboratory and other office equipment and twenty percent
(20%) will roughly constitute the pre-operating and initial
months operating expenses. The initial figure could vary according
to the actual costs in the procurement of the needed space and
equipment.
The
best time to set up a CHP Training Center would be around
the months of February and March, immediately prior to the
peak summer and 1st semester enrollment period or around September
and October, in time for the 2nd semester of our typical school
year.

| CHP
Licensee Qualifications |
| More
than the obvious financial capability, a prospective licensee,
first and foremost, must be 100% committed to the success of
the CHP Training Center. CHP will look for individuals with
the entrepreneurial spirit, a record of successful executive
or business experiences, good moral values and conduct, and
the desire to provide top quality healthcare training and education.
|
| What
to Expect |
| A
CHP licensee should expect a 30% to 100% Return of Investment
on the first year of operations depending on many factors, among
which are the skills and dedication of the licensee, as well
as the proper choice of personnel, site selection and number
of immediate competitors.
CHP
will provide the licensee access to the course programs and
services, the systems, techniques and the management support
in terms of operations, training, marketing and finance. In
addition, the licensee will also get added value from the
business affiliations that CHP has and will continue to forge
in the future.

| Application
Process |
| After
paying the Application Fee and having the completed Application
Form approved, a non-refundable Reservation Fee ( minus the
amount of the Application Fee ) shall be paid. We will then
assign a CHP representative to assist you in preparing your
Business Plan. Initial expenses for CHP personnel assignments
will be borne by CHP.
An
Implementation Timetable will then be accomplished. The Business
Plan will be furnished to you with the necessary guidelines
prior to the visit of CHP Personnel so that initial preparation
and research can be conducted by the prospective licensee.
The CHP Representative will assist you in validating, finalizing
and packaging your Business Plan.
No
other application for your intended territory will be entertained
by CHP until final decision is made on your Business Plan.
Your Business Plan will be discussed with CHP's Senior Management.
If your Business Plan is approved, the awarding of the license
shall then be formalized through the Licensing Agreement together
with your payment of the Licensing Fee.
